As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you may support pupils individually, work with small groups or assist within a specialist classroom depending on the assignment.
The SEN Teaching Assistant will work closely with teaching staff and follow established strategies rather than independently deciding a pupil''s support programme.
Responsibilities of a SEN Teaching Assistant
A SEN Teaching Assistant may:
- Reinforce classroom learning.
- Adapt resources under teacher guidance.
