SEN Teaching Assistant - Early Years (Full-Time)

Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time (Monday to Friday)
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)

A supportive and inclusive mainstream primary school in Lewisham is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team on a full-time basis with an immediate start.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils in EYFS who have additional needs, supporting their early development, communication, and engagement with learning. The school has a strong inclusion ethos and an experienced SEN team in place, providing guidance and structure for support staff.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, helping them to access the curriculum and develop essential early skills.

• A well-structured and supportive Early Years setting

• Supporting pupils with special educational needs within Early Years
• Providing 1:1 and small group support
• Assisting with early communication, phonics, and play-based learning
• Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support progress

• Have a minimum of 1 year''s experience supporting children with SEN (essential)
• Have experience working within Early Years (essential)
• Demonstrate a patient, nurturing, and consistent approach
• Be proactive and able to use initiative within the classroom
• Have a clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
