What You''ll Be Doing

• A SEN Teaching Assistant may provide 1:1 support for pupils with individual learning needs.
• The SEN Teaching Assistant will reinforce differentiated activities and teacher-planned learning.
• A SEN Teaching Assistant may work with pupils with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs or learning difficulties.
• The SEN Teaching Assistant will support communication, emotional regulation, positive behaviour and classroom routines.
• Encourage pupils to participate in learning while developing greater confidence and independence.
• Follow EHCP targets and individual support strategies where relevant.
• Work closely with teachers and SEN staff and share relevant observations at the end of each booking.

What We''re Looking For in a SEN Teaching Assistant

• Previous SEN Teaching Assistant, Teaching Assistant, school support or SEND experience, or credible transferable experience from childcare, youth work, mentoring, tutoring, care or behaviour support.
• Confidence supporting children or young people with additional needs.
• Patient, reliable and able to adapt quickly to different schools and pupils.
• Clear communication and appropriate professional boundaries.
• Strong safeguarding awareness.
