Reeson Education is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join our flexible supply pool across Southampton. Working as a SEN Teaching Assistant on supply gives you the opportunity to support pupils with additional needs across different schools while maintaining control over the days you work.

Setting: Primary and specialist SEN settings

Contract: Flexible daily and short-term supply

The Role

A SEN Teaching Assistant may support pupils individually, in small groups or within the wider classroom.

The SEN Teaching Assistant will help pupils access differentiated learning.

A SEN Teaching Assistant may work with pupils who have autism, ADHD, communication needs or learning difficulties.

Support emotional regulation and positive transitions where required.

The SEN Teaching Assistant will reinforce individual targets and strategies established by permanent staff.

Encourage pupils to develop greater confidence and independence.

A SEN Teaching Assistant will communicate relevant observations to teachers and SEN staff.

Follow safeguarding procedures and individual support plans throughout each booking.

What We''re Looking For in a SEN Teaching Assistant

Previous SEN Teaching Assistant, Teaching Assistant or SEND experience, or strong transferable experience from childcare, care, youth work, mentoring, tutoring or similar support work.

Calm and patient when pupils require additional reassurance or regulation support.

Flexible enough to adapt to different pupils and school environments.

Reliable, professional and safeguarding-aware.
