What You''ll Be Doing

A SEN Teaching Assistant may provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs.

The SEN Teaching Assistant may work with small groups or support pupils within the classroom.

A SEN Teaching Assistant may support children with autism, ADHD, SLCN or learning difficulties depending on the booking.

Reinforce differentiated activities and teacher-led learning.

The SEN Teaching Assistant will use agreed strategies to support communication and emotional regulation.

Encourage confidence, participation and increasing independence.

The SEN Teaching Assistant will follow EHCP targets and individual support plans where relevant.

Adapt quickly to the routines and expectations of each school.

What We''re Looking For in a SEN Teaching Assistant

Previous SEN Teaching Assistant, SEND or school support experience, or credible transferable experience from childcare, care, youth work, mentoring, tutoring or behaviour support.

Patient, adaptable and able to build rapport quickly.

Reliable and able to commit fully to bookings once accepted.

Good communication and safeguarding awareness.
