Teaching AssistantImmediate startCompetitive rate of payFull-time, long-termNorth London 80-100 per day A teaching assistant is needed for special educational needs (SEN) school in North London for students aged 11-19.As a teaching assistant, you will be supporting students with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) and severe learning (SLD) and/or physical disabilities (PD). As a teaching assistant, you will be working closely alongside the teacher or with small groups or individual students.This school is easily accessible from around London, with great transport links.Being a teaching assistant at this school, you will become a part of a highly supportive team with exceptional senior leadership and fantastic resources. Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:Working with and supporting students with SLD, ASD and other complex needs.Providing academic support, either one-on-one or in a small group.Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom culture and providing emotional support when needed.Implementing behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.Using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage focus and self-control.Assisting with lesson planning and delivery.Being aware of safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
