SEMH Teaching Assistant Location: Bicker, near Boston, Lincolnshire Job Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only Contract: Temporary to Permanent Opportunity Available We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEMH school in Bicker, Lincolnshire, supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school offers a nurturing, therapeutic, and highly supportive environment, with small class sizes and high staff-to-pupil ratios designed to help every child thrive. Day-to-day of the role: Provide classroom support to pupils with SEMH needs. Build positive and trusting relationships with students. Support pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour management strategies. Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions. Encourage engagement with learning activities and classroom tasks. Support pupils during unstructured times such as breaks and lunchtimes. Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff, and external professionals. Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and positive outcomes for all pupils. Required Skills and Qualifications: Experience in SEMH schools, Special Educational Needs (SEN), alternative provision settings, care, support work, youth work, residential childcare, behaviour mentoring, or pastoral support. Calm, resilient, and patient personality. Passionate about supporting vulnerable young people. Ability to build rapport and establish professional boundaries.
