SEN Teaching Assistant ABOUT THE SCHOOL Prospero Teaching is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant for a diverse two form-entry primary school in Merton, South West London. This outstanding primary school in Merton is dedicated to supporting pupils with additional needs. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will provide 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils access learning and make progress both academically and socially. The position is open to experienced SEN Teaching Assistants, Teaching Assistants, and Learning Support Assistants. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS Location - Merton, South West London Position - SEN Teaching Assistant Type of work - Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, assisting with learning, behaviour support, and classroom activities Position start date - September 2026 Full time/part time - Full Time Rate of pay - GBP100 - GBP115 per day (depending on experience) Hours - 8:15am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (term time only) EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant. Experience supporting children with SEND, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language needs, or social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs is desirable Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year is desirable (training can be provided where required) GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or ..... full job details .....
