SEN Teaching AssistantLocation: WidnesStart Date: November 2026Contract: Full TimeRole: SEN Teaching AssistantAre you a caring, patient and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people with additional needs?We are currently recruiting for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist primary school in Widnes supporting young people with a diverse range of complex needs.The school provides a nurturing, highly supportive environment for young people with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple complex needs, autism, social communication difficulties, sensory impairments and physical/medical needs. The successful candidate will play an important role in helping pupils develop their independence, communication, confidence and life skills.The RoleAs an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff and the wider support team to provide high-quality, individualised support. Your responsibilities will include:Supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities.Providing one-to-one and small-group support where required.Supporting learning, communication, social development and independence.Helping pupils access lessons and wider school activities.Supporting young people with sensory, physical and/or complex needs.Following individual support plans and contributing to pupils'' development.Promoting positive behaviour and a calm, inclusive learning environment.Working ..... full job details .....
