SEN Teaching Assistant

We are currently in a close partnership with a leading Mainstream school who are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant. Role: Your role will consist of supporting special needs in a mixed year 1/year 2 class. Requirements: You need to be available long-term, full time, Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00. Must have SEN experience either professionally or personally. Location: The school is based in Barnsley, it''s a 2-form entry school which was rated GOOD in it s most recent OFSTED.The successful candidate would benefit from extremely modern facilities as the school was built recently.A SEND Teaching and Support Assistant will• Build and maintain successful relationships with young people.• Support a named pupil or a group of students in traditional and non-traditional learning environments• Offer a supportive approach in a role-modelling/mentoring capacity• Assist learners with their physical, personal care or medical needs promoting independence• Implement specific educational programmes for young people.• Deliver activities to small groups of identified young people.• Record observations on young people''s behaviour and progress• Experience of behaviour that challengesPK Education adheres to the following from its Support workers and Teachers.
