Sen Teaching Assistant
Pioneer People are currently recruiting experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join a specialist SEN setting in Bromsgrove on a long-term basis.
The setting supports pupils from EYFS through to Post-16, with flexibility around the age group you work with depending on your experience, strengths and preferences.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and committed Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children or young people with additional needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support
- Supporting pupils with a range of additional and complex needs
- Encouraging engagement, independence and positive learning behaviours
- Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour where required
- Following individual support plans and working closely with teaching and pastoral staff
- Maintaining a safe, structured and supportive learning environment
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN
- Experience within a specialist SEN setting or school environment is desirable
- A calm, patient and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A relevant Teaching Assistant or SEN qualification is desirable
- Experience supporting autism, SEMH, ADHD, SLD or complex needs would be beneficial

Start date: ASAP
Age range: EYFS to Post-16, with flexibility based on experience and preference
