SEN Teaching Assistant - Outstanding Special School (Kirkham)Start Date: January 2025 Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm Pay: 90- 118.89 per day Contract: January 2025 - July 2025 (with potential to become temp-to-perm)Tradewind Recruitment are supporting an Outstanding Special School in Kirkham that provides exceptional education for children and young people aged 2-19 with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). The school is seeking a compassionate, committed and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from January 2025.About the RoleAs an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:Support pupils aged 2-19 with SLD, PMLD, complex needs, and communication difficulties.Work as part of a highly skilled team to provide personalised learning, sensory activities, and therapeutic support.Assist with mobility, personal care, feeding, and communication techniques (training provided).Create a nurturing, consistent, and safe environment that promotes independence and wellbeing.Support EHCP targets through structured activities and 1:1 or small-group work.Experience in SEN settings is beneficial but not essential-the school welcomes applicants with empathy, patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners.About the SchoolRated OutstandingSpecialist provision for SLD and PMLD learners aged 2-19Highly skilled multidisciplinary teamExcellent training, CPD, and development opportunitiesWarm, supportive, ..... full job details .....
