SEN Teaching Assistant

Horizon Teachers are supporting a Primary school in Croydon in their search for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis.-This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by supporting pupils with additional needs across Key Stages 1 and 2, including children with Autism, ADHD, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

In this role, you will play a key part in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and thrive both academically and socially within a supportive school environment.

The Role

• Provide 1:1 SEN support for two pupils across KS1 and KS2
• Support children with Autism, ADHD and SEMH needs to access learning
• Use positive behaviour strategies to create a calm and supportive environment
• Work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to deliver tailored support
• Encourage confidence, independence and emotional development

About You

• Experience supporting children with SEND (school or personal experience)
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• Patient, resilient and passionate about supporting children with additional needs
• Confident working across-Key Stages 1-and-2
