SEN Teaching Assistant Westminster, Central London 110 - 125 per day ASAP Start Full-Time Long-Term About the Role Long Term Futures are working with a welcoming primary school in Westminster to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant for an immediate start. This is a varied role combining general classroom responsibilities with targeted SEN support. You will work alongside the class teacher to support learning across the classroom while also providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs. The position would suit someone who enjoys the variety of a general Teaching Assistant role but also has the confidence and experience to provide more individualised support when required. Key responsibilities include:Supporting teaching and learning within the classroomProviding 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SENDelivering targeted literacy, numeracy and communication interventionsSupporting pupils with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs or learning difficultiesEncouraging independence, confidence and positive engagementSupporting behaviour and emotional regulation where requiredWorking closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor pupil progressPreparing resources and assisting with general classroom activitiesThe Ideal Candidate The school is looking for someone who:Has experience working with primary-aged childrenHas experience or a strong interest in supporting pupils with SENIs confident working both 1:1 and with larger groupsIs proactive and ..... full job details .....
