Long Term Futures are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in WS1, Walsall, supporting children with autism and speech, language and communication needs (SLCN). You''ll work with pupils who benefit from additional structure, communication support and targeted interventions, helping them access learning, build confidence and become more independent. The role combines 1:1, small-group and classroom support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys building strong relationships with pupils while remaining part of the wider school community. In this role, you will:Support primary-aged pupils with autism and SLCNDeliver targeted speech, language and communication activitiesUse visual timetables, prompts and structured routinesSupport social interaction, emotional regulation and independenceProvide 1:1 and small-group interventionsWork closely with teachers, the SENCO and wider support teamYou''ll need:A Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent in a relevant subject.Previous experience supporting primary-aged pupils with SEN.Experience with Autism and/or Speech and Language Needs.A calm, patient and adaptable approach.Strong communication and relationship-building skills.Why Work with ..... full job details .....
