SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Coventry, CV2Pay Rate: £500 - £525 per weekStart Date: ASAPContract: Monday - Friday, long-term temp to perm.Long Term Futures are recruiting a caring and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1 pupil within a friendly and inclusive primary school in Coventry. This is a long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.The role will involve providing dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs, helping them to access the curriculum, develop social skills and manage their emotions within an early years/KS1 setting. The school offers a supportive environment with a strong focus on early intervention and pupil wellbeing.Key Responsibilities:Provide 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with additional needs, including ASD and SEMH traits.Support early learning development including phonics, numeracy and communicationHelp the pupil engage with classroom routines and structured activitiesEncourage communication, social interaction and emotional regulationBuild a consistent, supportive relationship to encourage confidence and independenceWork closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt support strategiesIdeal Candidate Profile:A Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning Qualification, or relevant subjectExperience working with primary-aged pupilsExperience supporting children with SENA background supporting students in a classroom or similar settingKnowledge of behaviour management strategies or trainingA ..... full job details .....
