This is a varied 1:1 role supporting two pupils with additional needs across the school day.Role OverviewMorning (Year 3 - 1:1 Support):Supporting a pupil with SEMH needs and a background of being previously looked after (PLAC)Working with attachment needs and traits of PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance)Providing consistent, nurturing support to help the child regulate emotions and engage in learningUsing a flexible, trauma-informed approach to understand and respond to behaviourAfternoon (Year 5 - 1:1 Support):Supporting a pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)Delivering a bespoke curriculum tailored to their needsFocusing on engagement, communication, and personalised learning strategiesThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or at least 12 months'' experience in a school settingExperience supporting pupils with SEN, particularly ASD, SEMH, and attachment needsConfidence managing challenging behaviourA calm, patient, and nurturing approachStrong communication skillsA solid understanding of safeguarding and child protectionAbout the ..... full job details .....
