This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with experience in care to transfer their skills into a specialist school setting in Sheffield, supporting young people with complex learning difficulties, autism and additional needs.No previous school experience is essential, as training sessions will be provided to help build your confidence and support your transition from care into education.The Role - SEN Teaching AssistantYour responsibilities will include:Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with complex SEN.Supporting classroom activities and individual learning needs.Encouraging communication, independence and personal development.Promoting emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour.Assisting with daily routines, personal hygiene and personal care.Working alongside teachers and other professionals to support each pupil''s development.Personal care will be an expected part of the role.
