Location: B61 (Bromsgrove)
Pay Rate: -460 - -500 per week
Contract: Full-time, long-term with the potential to become permanent

Are you an enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs? Long Term Futures are working closely with a welcoming, Ofsted-rated ''Good'' primary school in B61 who are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team.
This role will involve providing both 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils with Autism (ASD), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), and non-verbal communication. Experience with Makaton, PECs, or similar communication strategies would be highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver tailored 1:1 and small group support for children with SEN
Use tools such as Makaton and PECs to aid communication and understanding
Support pupils with Autism, SLCN and non-verbal needs
Collaborate with class teachers and the SENCo to follow personalised learning plans
Encourage independence, self-confidence, and positive behaviour management
Contribute to creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience supporting children with SEN, ideally within a school setting
Understanding and practical use of Makaton and PECs (desirable)
Experience supporting children with Autism, SLCN or non-verbal communication
A patient, calm, and empathetic approach to support
Team player with strong communication skills
Relevant TA qualification or SEN training is an advantage
