Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School

Salary: -100- -120 a day
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time Only

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? Veritas Education is working with a welcoming primary school in Hackney to recruit a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team.

This is a full-time position to start as soon as possible, supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small group settings.

The Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs
• Lead or support small group interventions
• Help implement behaviour strategies and support emotional regulation
• Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored support

Requirements:

We are looking for candidates who:

• Have experience working with children with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH
• Are confident in managing challenging behaviour using positive strategies
• Are patient, resilient, and committed to helping every child succeed
• Can work effectively as part of a team and independently

Relevant training in behaviour management or SEN (e.g., Team Teach, MAPA) is desirable but not essential.
