SEN Teaching Assistant

Do you have experience supporting students with ADHD and behaviour needs?
This inclusive Enfield secondary school is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to support a small number of students who require help with focus, routine, and emotional regulation in a mainstream classroom.

About the role:

• Working 1:1 and in small groups to support students with ADHD and SEMH
• Helping to implement classroom behaviour strategies and emotional regulation tools
• Building strong, trusting relationships with students who need consistency and patience
• Collaborating with pastoral and SEN staff to monitor student progress and wellbeing
• Supporting students across core subjects, especially in managing distractions

About you:

• Experience supporting ADHD, behaviour needs or SEMH in schools or youth settings
• Calm, confident, and consistent in your approach
• Strong communication skills and able to build positive working relationships
• Comfortable working with external professionals and families
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
