SEN Teaching Assistant – Tower Hamlets

Salary: £85 – £110 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic special school in Tower Hamlets. The role involves supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils.

• Assist with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.

• Support students’ social and emotional development.

• Implement behaviour management strategies under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO.

Requirements:

• Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN is preferred.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

• Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
