Contract: Full-time, long-term (with potential to go permanent)
Pay: -14.96 per hour PAYE / -16.30 per hour Umbrella

Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner schools in the Axminster area. This is an excellent opportunity to support children with special educational needs in a warm, inclusive and supportive school environment.

The Role

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with a variety of SEN, including ASC, ADHD, SEMH and cognition & learning needs
• Supporting pupils in accessing lessons and engaging confidently with the curriculum
• Assisting the class teacher with tailored interventions and differentiated learning activities
• Creating a positive, safe and nurturing classroom atmosphere
• Encouraging emotional regulation, independence and positive behaviour

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school, care, youth work, support work, etc.)
• Patient, resilient and empathetic
• Confident in building strong relationships with pupils and staff
• Good communicator with a proactive approach
• Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
