About the SEN Teaching Assistant Role:
- Support a Year 1 child with mild autism on a 1:1 basis
- Work directly with the class teacher and SENCO
- Use visual aids, structured routines, and gentle encouragement to support both learning and development
- Encouraging social, emotional, and academic development
- Communicating effectively with the wider staff team and parents
About You:
- Previous experience assisting children with autism or other special educational needs (desirable)
- Be both caring and committed
- Able to build strong relationships with both children and staff
- Is enthusiastic about taking on new challenges and responsibilities in a rewarding school role
- Be able to commute to Waltham Forest, London
