This role includes providing 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with mild autism, assisting them to access learning and thrive in the classroom.

About the SEN Teaching Assistant Role:

• Support a Year 1 child with mild autism on a 1:1 basis
• Work directly with the class teacher and SENCO
• Use visual aids, structured routines, and gentle encouragement to support both learning and development
• Encouraging social, emotional, and academic development
• Communicating effectively with the wider staff team and parents

About You:

• Previous experience assisting children with autism or other special educational needs (desirable)
• Be both caring and committed
• Able to build strong relationships with both children and staff
• Is enthusiastic about taking on new challenges and responsibilities in a rewarding school role
• Be able to commute to Waltham Forest, London
