Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Barnet, North London
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Salary: -90 - -115 per day (PAYE, DOE)

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a Primary SEND School in Barnet from September 2025.

The school supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, SEMH, ADHD and learning difficulties, offering a nurturing and structured environment where every child is supported to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND

• Assist teachers in delivering adapted lessons and learning activities

• Support with behaviour strategies and encourage positive choices

• Promote independence, confidence, and social development in pupils

Requirements:

• Experience supporting children with SEND (school, care or youth work settings)

• A patient, enthusiastic and proactive approach

• Good understanding of autism, SEMH and ADHD

• Team Teach or equivalent training is desirable but not essential

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
