We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a thriving school in Warwick. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as complex learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH and complex needs.
Assist in the development and implementation of tailored learning plans.
Support the classroom teacher in maintaining a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Help manage challenging behavior in a proactive and supportive manner.
Foster the social and emotional development of students, promoting independence and resilience.
Collaborate with other professionals, including SENCOs and educational psychologists, to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Previous experience supporting students with SEMH and complex needs in an educational setting.
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Relevant qualifications such as an NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or similar, are desirable.
