SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary Support
Location: Shoreham
Pay: £90–£100 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, Long-term

GSL Education is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with diverse learning needs at a caring primary school in Shoreham.
The Role You''ll work closely with children aged 4-11 who may experience:
- Autism Spectrum Conditions and sensory processing needs
- Speech and language difficulties
- Learning disabilities and developmental delays
- ADHD and attention challenges
Your focus will be on creating inclusive learning experiences, building confidence, and helping each child access the primary curriculum at their own pace.
You''ll Be:
- Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups across Key Stage 1 & 2
- Helping children engage with literacy, numeracy, and creative subjects
- Using visual aids, communication tools, and sensory resources
- Working alongside class teachers and SENCO
- Creating a supportive, structured learning environment
We''re Looking For:
- Experience supporting primary-aged children with SEN
- A patient, creative and encouraging approach
- Someone who''s comfortable with diverse learning needs
- Team player with strong communication skills
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Makaton, PECS, sensory regulation training, or similar are a bonus—but not essential.
