A nurturing secondary school in Hackney is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work specifically with students who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping them to thrive both academically and socially.
About the role:
- Providing tailored 1:1 support to students with ASD across KS3 and KS4
- Assisting with classroom integration, emotional regulation, and transitions between activities
- Working closely with the SENCO and speech and language therapists
- Helping to adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
- Supporting EHCP implementation and progress tracking
About you:
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with autism
- Calm, consistent and nurturing approach to behaviour
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Understanding of sensory processing differences and anxiety in students
- Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply
