SEN Teaching Assistant (ASD Support) - Secondary School - Hackney

Contract: Full-time (term-time only), long-term
Location: Hackney
Pay: -95115 per day (depending on experience)

A nurturing secondary school in Hackney is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work specifically with students who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping them to thrive both academically and socially.

About the role:

• Providing tailored 1:1 support to students with ASD across KS3 and KS4
• Assisting with classroom integration, emotional regulation, and transitions between activities
• Working closely with the SENCO and speech and language therapists
• Helping to adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
• Supporting EHCP implementation and progress tracking

About you:

• Previous experience supporting children or young people with autism
• Calm, consistent and nurturing approach to behaviour
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Understanding of sensory processing differences and anxiety in students
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply
