Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Lymington
Contract: Full Time, Term Time Only (Temp to Perm opportunity for the right candidate)
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 08:30 - 16:30 | Friday, 08:30 - 16:00

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a school in Lymington. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs and is looking to make a real difference.



About the Role

You will be working with children and young people with a range of needs, including:

  • Autism

  • ADHD

  • Dyslexia

  • Dyspraxia

  • Language and social communication difficulties

  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs

  • Sensory integration and processing needs

  • Challenging behaviour

Your role will involve supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them to engage in learning, build confidence, and develop essential life skills.



About You

  • Previous experience in a school or care setting with children/young people is highly advantageous.

  • You are patient, resilient, and have a positive approach to supporting behaviour and learning.

  • Must hold GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C / Level 4 or above).

  • You are available on a full-time basis during term time.

  • Ideally, you have access to your own transport due to the school''s location.

  • You hold a current DBS on the update service or are willing to apply.
