GSL Education are looking for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a nurturing and inclusive school community in Maidstone. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about helping students with additional needs develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

Key Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):

• Provide personalised support to students with a range of additional learning needs.
• Assist teachers in planning and delivering targeted learning activities.
• Create a safe, positive, and engaging environment for students.
• Encourage independence, emotional resilience, and positive behaviour.
• Follow individual support plans and uphold safeguarding expectations.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.

Requirements for the SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):

• Experience working with children or adults with SEN is essential.
• Applications welcomed from candidates with backgrounds in healthcare, nursery settings, care work, youth work, or activity leadership.
• A patient, supportive, and proactive approach.
• Ability to adapt to changing needs within the classroom.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
