Long Term Futures are recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist primary SEN school in Barnet, supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a structured and supportive specialist setting, helping pupils develop communication, independence and engagement with learning. The role involves providing both 1:1 and small-group support for children with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with ASD
• Support students with communication, emotional regulation and engagement
• Assist with learning activities across the primary curriculum
• Implement strategies linked to EHCPs and individual support plans
• Work closely with teachers, SEN staff and therapists
• Promote independence, confidence and inclusion

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience supporting children with SEN or ASD
• A patient, nurturing and proactive approach
• Confidence working in a primary SEN or specialist school environment
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
• Background in SEN, care, youth work or education (desirable)
