Primary Teaching Assistant – Full-Time

Daily Rate: £80–£100 (based on experience)

A friendly and supportive primary school in Watford is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to gain meaningful classroom experience while making a positive impact on young learners.

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll support pupils across the school – from whole-class settings to small group interventions and one-to-one sessions. This is an ideal position for someone enthusiastic, nurturing, and eager to grow in the education sector.

• Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum and reaching their full potential

• Support the class teacher with lesson planning and classroom organisation

• Deliver targeted interventions in literacy, numeracy, and social development

• Help create an inclusive, stimulating learning environment

• Provide additional support for pupils with special educational needs, where appropriate

• Maintain classroom resources, displays, and learning areas

• Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

• Experience working with children (in school, tutoring, childcare, or similar roles)

• A calm, friendly, and proactive approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A keen interest in child development and education

• Willingness to learn and take part in ongoing training

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

• A supportive and collaborative teaching team
