A friendly and supportive primary school in Watford is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to gain meaningful classroom experience while making a positive impact on young learners.
About the RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you’ll support pupils across the school – from whole-class settings to small group interventions and one-to-one sessions. This is an ideal position for someone enthusiastic, nurturing, and eager to grow in the education sector.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist pupils in accessing the curriculum and reaching their full potential
Support the class teacher with lesson planning and classroom organisation
Deliver targeted interventions in literacy, numeracy, and social development
Help create an inclusive, stimulating learning environment
Provide additional support for pupils with special educational needs, where appropriate
Maintain classroom resources, displays, and learning areas
Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
Experience working with children (in school, tutoring, childcare, or similar roles)
A calm, friendly, and proactive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A keen interest in child development and education
Willingness to learn and take part in ongoing training
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
A supportive and collaborative teaching team
