Prospero Teaching is looking for enthusiastic and caring SEN Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming secondary school in Bridgwater. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in students'' lives, working on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, and as a general classroom assistant.

Role Details:

• Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
• Location: Bridgwater, Somerset
• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract: Ongoing (potential for permanent roles)
• Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support for pupils with a range of SEN, including SEMH needs
• Assist small groups of students with their learning and development
• Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
• Help create a positive, safe, and supportive classroom environment
• Work closely with teaching staff, SENCO, and other professionals to meet students'' individual needs

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational or care setting
• A genuine interest in supporting students with SEN, including SEMH
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE, Level 2/3 TA, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
• Enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
