Job Description:

Veritas Education is currently working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Redbridge seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join their team. This full-time role involves supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) as well as providing general classroom assistance across key stages.

The school is looking for someone who is enthusiastic, flexible, and passionate about supporting children''s learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN, including those with Autism, ADHD, and speech & language needs
• Assist the class teacher with general classroom duties and whole-class learning activities
• Support behaviour management and help maintain a positive learning environment
• Prepare learning resources and adapt materials for individual needs
• Liaise with teaching staff and SENCo to implement tailored interventions
• Monitor pupil progress and contribute to reports and reviews

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a primary school or with children with SEN
• A proactive and patient approach to supporting children''s learning
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

Desirable:

• SEN training or qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Autism Awareness, Team Teach)
• Experience supporting pupils with EHCPs or working in an inclusive setting
