Daily Rate: £80–£100 (depending on experience)

A welcoming and specialist school in Watford is seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. The school supports students with autism and complex needs, offering a caring environment enriched by excellent multidisciplinary support.

About the Role

This is a full-time, term-time position ideal for someone who is empathetic, proactive, and ready to contribute to a supportive learning environment. Whether you''re experienced in SEN or looking to start your journey, you’ll be well supported by a knowledgeable team.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for students with autism and other needs

• Support the delivery of personalised learning and therapy activities

• Help develop pupils’ social, communication, and life skills

• Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation

• Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and families

• Assist with personal care where appropriate

• Maintain accurate records and help monitor student progress

What We’re Looking For

• Previous SEN experience is a plus, but not essential

• Calm, patient, and compassionate approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Eagerness to learn and take part in training

• Dependable, flexible, and committed to inclusive practices

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
