SEN Teaching Assistant

Veritas Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Haringey, currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a real impact on their learning and development.
The Role:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including ASD, ADHD, and speech & language difficulties.
- Support pupils in accessing the curriculum and achieving their individual targets.
- Work collaboratively with class teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals.
- Adapt learning materials and strategies to meet individual needs.
- Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEN (school-based experience desirable).
- A caring, patient, and flexible approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A good understanding of safeguarding practices.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, TA qualification) are advantageous but not essential.
