SEN Teaching Assistant Trentham 1:1 SEMH Support (Year 4) Trentham, Staffordshire Full-Time Long-Term Role Pay: £95 £105 per day (DOE) Hours: 8:30am 3:30pm About the SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity Astro Education is currently recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a primary school in Trentham on a long-term basis. This role involves providing 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with diagnosed Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school is looking for a calm, resilient and compassionate individual who can build a strong, trusting relationship and provide consistent support throughout the school day. About The SEN Teaching Assistant Role Provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with SEMH needs Support the pupil s emotional regulation and engagement in learning Implement behaviour strategies and follow individual support plans Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO Help create a safe, structured and positive learning environment Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff Requirements Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs A patient, resilient and empathetic approach Strong behaviour management skills Ability to build positive relationships and act as a consistent role model Experience in education, care, youth work, or similar ..... full job details .....
