SEN Teaching Assistant PMLD and Complex Needs - OldhamAspire People is recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded specialist SEN provision in Oldham for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and complex needs. This is a rewarding but demanding role that requires compassion, patience and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of young people with the most complex learning, physical and medical needs. The school provides a highly personalised curriculum designed to promote communication, independence and quality of life. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, therapists, healthcare professionals and other support staff to ensure pupils can access learning and enrichment activities safely and comfortably. Many pupils require significant levels of support throughout the school day. This may include assisting with mobility, medical needs, communication, sensory activities and personal care. Every interaction should promote dignity, respect and independence. No two days are the same, and successful candidates must be comfortable working in a practical, hands-on environment.
