Recruiting for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a Year 4 student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who may display traits of challenging behaviour. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to ensure the student is supported academically, socially and emotionally throughout the school daTo start 13th April 2026 - Monday to Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm (Term time only)SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities and Requirements:Provide consistent 1:1 support tailored to the needs of a Year 4 pupil with ASDImplement strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviourSupport with emotional regulation, communication and social interactionAdapt learning activities to ensure accessibility and engagementPromote independence, positive behaviour and confidenceTrack and report progress, behaviour patterns and any concernsMaintain a safe, structured and supportive learning environmentExperience supporting students 1:1 in a primary school settingUnderstanding of sensory needs and ASD friendly approachesKnowledge of positive behaviour support strategiesRelevant training such as Team Teach ideal but not essentialTeaching Assistant L2/L3, Care or SEND qualificationWe offer:A full face-to-face interview to ascertain your skills, experience and understand the right role for youOver 300 training courses for all workersCompetitive Monthly pay with additional Holiday payOn going support from the schools and Apex team who are ..... full job details .....
