SEN Teaching Assistant Location: ChathamHours: Full-timePhase: KS1 and KS2Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils with additional needs?We are currently looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN TA to join a welcoming school in Chatham, supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis, including non-verbal pupils.The successful candidate will ideally have experience as a behaviour specialist and be confident supporting children with a range of complex SEN needs.The RoleWorking 1:1 with pupils with additional and complex needsSupporting non-verbal pupils with communication and learningWorking across both KS1 and KS2Providing support with behaviour, emotional regulation and engagementHelping pupils access learning and develop their independenceWorking closely with teachers, SENCOs and other professionalsCreating a calm, safe and inclusive learning environmentThe Ideal CandidatePrevious experience working with pupils with SENExperience supporting non-verbal childrenStrong behaviour management skills or experience as a behaviour specialistConfident working on a 1:1 basisAble to work effectively across KS1 and KS2Patient, resilient, nurturing and adaptablePassionate about helping children overcome barriers to learningHolds a fully Enhanced DBS, ideally on the Update Service, or is willing to apply for a new Enhanced DBSThis is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SEN TA or behaviour specialist looking for a full-time role in Chatham, where you ..... full job details .....
