SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding full-time opportunity within a mainstream primary school?

We are currently looking for a dedicated and supportive SEN TA to join a school in Dartford, providing targeted support to pupils across KS1 and KS2.

This role would suit someone who is confident working with children with additional needs and has a strong understanding of positive behaviour management.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to:

• Provide 1:1 support to pupils with additional needs

• Work across both KS1 and KS2, depending on the needs of the school

• Support pupils with their learning, development and engagement

• Deliver focused 1:1 sessions and targeted interventions

• Assist the class teacher with classroom activities

• Promote positive behaviour and maintain clear boundaries

• Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment

• Adapt your approach to meet individual pupil needs

• Previous SEN experience is essential

• Relevant qualifications/training in education, SEN or childcare

• Strong behaviour management skills

• Experience providing 1:1 pupil support

• Confidence working with children across KS1 and KS2

• Flexibility to work within a mainstream primary school

• Patient, reliable and committed approach

• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
