We, Academics, are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to support one of our highly esteemed schools in the B23 area. This specific role is great for Psychology students who are looking for more work experience in the SEN field or healthcare workers who are wanting a bit of a change.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide engaging 1-to-1 sessions for pupil/s with SEND
• Support pupils learning, communication and social development both inside and outside the classroom
• Work closely with both the SENDCO and teacher to deliver relevant and tailored learning plans
• The role may include assisting with personal care, therefore candidates must be able to support the pupils personal care needs with patience and compassion

We are ideally looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school or similar setting
• Holds an Enhanced DBS (must be on the update service)
• Has relevant qualifications or experience (e.g. Psychology graduates or a healthcare background)
• Willingness to complete relevant training continually when needed
