SEN Teaching Assistant

Do you have a passion for supporting children with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential? Academics are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work with one of our schools in Alderley Edge and others in surrounding areas.

Responsibilities may include:

• Providing 1:1 support to pupils with SEN
• Supporting pupils within small groups
• Helping children access and engage with their learning
• Supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, behavioural needs and learning difficulties
• Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills
• Working closely with teachers and other support staff
• Providing a calm, consistent and nurturing presence throughout the school day

We''d love to hear from you if you have:

• Previous experience supporting children in a UK school or educational setting as an SEN teaching assistant
• Experience providing 1:1 or small-group support
• A genuine interest in working with children with additional needs
• Experience with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, behavioural needs or learning difficulties would be advantageous
• A calm, patient and nurturing approach
• The ability to adapt your support to meet individual pupil needs
• A willingness to work across Alderley Edge and the surrounding areaa
