The school provides a supportive, nurturing environment with specialist sensory and therapeutic facilities, alongside a strong focus on helping pupils maximise their potential. The successful candidate will have: Significant experience supporting children or young people with ASC and/or severe learning difficulties. A good understanding of SEN strategies, including visual timetables, sensory approaches and augmentative communication. A calm, caring and consistent approach to supporting pupils. Strong communication and teamwork skills. An understanding of safeguarding and child protection within specialist settings. Desirable: Team Teach or other positive behaviour management training. Experience using PECS, Makaton or AAC. Previous experience working within a specialist SEN school.
