      <description>Location: Canterbury | Salary: 10000-500000 Annual | Type: Permanent | SEN Teaching Assistant - SEMH School  Academics are currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our fantastic SEMH schools in Canterbury from September. This is a full-time opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will play a key role in helping pupils engage with their learning, manage their behaviour and build positive relationships within a supportive school environment. The role:  Providing classroom support to pupils with SEMH needs Working on a 1:1 basis and in small groups where required Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils Helping to create a safe, structured and engaging learning environment Working closely with teachers and other professionals to support individual pupil needs  The ideal candidate:  Has experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, SEN or challenging behaviour Is resilient, patient and able to remain calm in challenging situations Has strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills Is passionate about making a positiv...</description>
