A fantastic opportunity has become available for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Welwyn Garden City from October.This SEN Teaching Assistant position in Welwyn Garden City offers invaluable experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder , speech and language needs, and other additional learning requirements. You will play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers to learning while supporting their confidence, independence, wellbeing, and academic development.As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide classroom-based support alongside tailored one-to-one interventions. You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and wider school staff to create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide targeted in-class and one-to-one support for pupils with SEN and ASDAssist teachers with engaging lessons and differentiated learning resourcesBuild positive and trusting relationships with pupilsSupport pupils'' social, emotional, and academic developmentEncourage confidence, independence, and engagement in learningSupport behaviour management strategies and personalised learning plansWork collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and wider school staffCandidate RequirementsPrevious experience working with children or within an SEN setting is advantageousGenuine interest in Special Educational Needs and child developmentUnderstanding of ASD and ..... full job details .....
