SEN Teaching Assistant

Academics are recruiting for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil within a primary school in Leighton Buzzard.

This is an opportunity for a patient, resilient and emotionally intelligent SEN Teaching Assistant who understands that progress can look different for every child.

What makes this role different?

Rather than supporting a whole class, you''ll provide consistent 1:1 support to a pupil, helping them access learning, develop confidence and engage positively with school life.

The school is an established primary setting in Leighton Buzzard with a supportive staff team and a strong focus on inclusion.

You will work closely with teaching staff and other professionals, helping create a structured and positive environment for the pupil.

Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Leighton Buzzard
Pay: -95105 per day, depending on experience
Contract: Full-time
Type: 1:1 SEN support

You could be a great fit if you have:

• Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant
• Experience supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis
• Knowledge of additional learning needs
• A patient and nurturing approach
• Strong behaviour management skills
• The ability to remain calm and consistent
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Experience supporting children with autism, SEMH, ADHD, communication needs or other additional needs would be particularly valuable.
