1:1 SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT - YEAR 11 STUDENTSouth East London Full-Time 120- 130 per dayRemedy Education are currently recruiting for an experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant / Behaviour Mentor to support a Year 11 male student within an Alternative Provision setting in South East London.The student''s primary need is SEMH, alongside difficulties with attention and concentration, working memory, receptive language, emotional regulation and social interaction.We are looking for someone who is calm, confident and experienced in supporting secondary-aged students with additional needs and challenging behaviour.The ideal candidate will:Have experience supporting students with SEMHBe confident managing challenging behaviour and dysregulationHave strong behaviour management and de-escalation skillsBe patient, calm and consistent in their approachBe able to build trust and develop positive relationships with young peopleUnderstand how to support students with attention, working memory and communication difficultiesBe confident breaking learning into manageable steps and providing appropriate promptsSupport emotional regulation and help prevent situations from escalatingBe able to maintain clear boundaries without creating power strugglesEncourage independence rather than creating reliance on 1:1 supportHave a relational and respectful approachThis role would suit an experienced SEN TA, SEMH Teaching Assistant, Behaviour Mentor, Learning Mentor or Youth Worker who is confident ..... full job details .....
