SEN Teacher (SEMH / EBD) | Full-Time | Colchester | September Start

Tradewind Recruitment are currently supporting a specialist provision in the Colchester area to appoint a full-time SEN Teacher from September, working with pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and behavioural difficulties.

This role would suit a teacher who is confident managing behaviour, building positive relationships, and delivering structured, engaging lessons that support both academic progress and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full-time teaching role within a specialist SEMH setting
• Planning and delivering adapted lessons to meet a range of needs
• Supporting pupils with behavioural and emotional regulation
• Working closely with support staff to maintain consistency and routine
• Monitoring progress against individual learning and behavioural targets

We Are Looking For:

• A teacher with experience in SEN, SEMH or EBD settings
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
• A calm, consistent and resilient approach
• The ability to build trust with pupils who may find mainstream education challenging
• A team player who can contribute to a structured environment
