  • Use appropriate communication strategies, visual supports and assistive resources to meet students'' individual needs.

  • Establish consistent routines and supportive expectations to help students feel secure and confident.

  • Monitor, assess and record progress against individual learning objectives, EHCP outcomes and personalised targets.

  • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants to ensure consistent, effective classroom support.

  • Liaise with parents, carers, therapists and other professionals to support students'' wider development.

  • Support students with sensory needs, emotional regulation and transitions throughout the school day.

  • Maintain high expectations while recognising and celebrating individual achievements, however small.

About You

  • A patient, calm, compassionate and flexible approach.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  • The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • An understanding of sensory needs, alternative communication methods and practical approaches to supporting engagement.

  • A commitment to promoting independence, communication, inclusion and positive learning experiences.

  • Creativity and enthusiasm for developing engaging, meaningful learning opportunities.

  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and promoting positive outcomes for every student.
